March Newsletter

Highlights

February was full of new experiences! We learned about homes, neighborhoods, and our community. As we learned about our surroundings, we had some visitors come to our class to share about their jobs. We were visited by a bus driver, a band director, a photographer, a vet, and a police officer. We also did an author study on Eric Carle! We will end the month of February by celebrating with a party for filling up our dinosaur spots! Both classes have chosen to have a movie and popcorn party! See below for the date.
In March, we will learn about how to keep our bodies strong through fun fitness and healthy foods. We will also discuss Spring and personal safety J

Good choices are in full bloom! This month the children are trying to earn flowers in order to receive prizes and another class party. Please talk with your child about positive choices at school and home!

**REMEMBER: If your child is ill or unable to attend school, please call the St. Paul’s landline to inform us!!!!! 752-8755

  1. I like the Highlights section of your blog. I would think parents would like it, too, as it allows them to "peek" inside your classroom.

  2. Thank you for commenting! I always send out a monthly newsletter in paper form, but with so many parents having easy access to technology I feel that this will be a great alternative to have!

  3. Joanna, I like how you have listed your behavior management (blooming flowers) in your blog for parents to see. This is a great way for parents to begin a conversation with their children about the positive choices they are making in school! I also love your highlights section, as it gives parents an idea of what is happening in your classroom! I know several teachers who keep blogs and parents are always VERY supportive and in favor of them. Nice work!!
